Warm Tips:

1. For optimal transfer speed, connect to a computer's USB 3.0 interface and upgrade the driver to USB 3.0

2. New hard drives must be formatted before use

Compatibility Notes:

1. All 2.5-inch mechanical or solid-state hard drives do not require external power

2. All 3.5-inch mechanical hard drives must be externally powered

Formatting Instructions:

1. For Windows 10 users, right-click on the Start button and select "Disk Management". For Windows 7 users, right-click on "Computer", click on "Manage", and then "Disk Management"

2. Locate the new drive, right-click on the black bar of the new drive, and select "Format" or "Initialize", or choose "Create Simple Volume"

3. Follow the default options until completion

System Requirements:

1. Systems below Windows 7 only support hard drives up to 2TB

2. Hard drives above 2TB require a 64-bit Windows 7 or higher operating system

3. For hard drives above 3TB, initialize with GPT format

Disk Initialization:

1. Disk 1 must be initialized for logical disk manager access

2. Choose the disk partition format: MBR for 2TB or below, GPT for 3TB and above

Note: All Windows versions prior to Windows 7 do not recognize GPT partition format. It is recommended to use MBR for compatibility.
