Prep all ingredients and set aside looking out for spoilt beans and stones mostly and dust in the sorghum leaves.
Wash thoroughly the sorghum leaves and 2cups of beans pour a litre of water in a pan and bring it to a boil under high heat and a bit of baking soda it is practically optional. The purpose of the baking soda is to intensiify the color of the sorghum leaves whiles cooking.
Allow your beans to cook for about 40 minutes when its almost tender remove your sorghum leaves add 2 cups of washed rice , pour it in the same pot and allow it to cook on meduim heat stir until it is completely together.
Add some salt to taste and a table spoon of coconut oil for extra flavor, give it a good stir depending on how single grained or soft you want it, at this point you may decide to add extra water or salt of your preference.
In a pot add 2 cups of water a sizeable amount of spaghetti with a pinch of salt bring it to a boil for 10 minutes ,strain when cooked add some amount of green pepper sauce or chilly sauce of your choice and stir, in another bowl add 6 table spoons of gari add litte water stir till its soft.
Chop your onions transfer it to a bowl of water with a pinch of salt to reduce the harsh taste and strain the water for 10minutes , cut some tomatoes, cabbage, cucumber and carrot. Mix the vegetables together in a bowl and set aside. On a plate dish your waakye, add your gari, green pepper sauce or chilly of choice on the side, add egg or fish or meat and serve.
